A list of Healthy Snack Ideas for adults and kids made with wholesome ingredients. Simple, gut-friendly, and even sweet options!
It seems we went through a generation where we learned a lot of bad habits towards food and what was good for you. Instead of eating good wholesome foods, people were cutting out healthy fats, sugars, and carbs. Filling their bodies with ultra-processed oils and artificial sweeteners that were doing nothing but wreaking havoc on their guts. The gut is often referred to as a second brain. It affects how we feel, our skin, our energy, and our immune system, just to name a few. Here are some healthy snack ideas for adults and kids that taste good, use simple ingredients, and are healthier overall!
One of the harder transitions to eating more whole foods for our family was snacks. When you’re used to grabbing a prepackaged granola bar, some chips, or a Debbie cake it takes a little getting used to them not being there. We didn’t cut out processed foods altogether but over the last year we have found a variety of things we love to snack on that are a lot more wholesome and require less processed items. Plus most of them are kid-approved!
